It is unlikely for a person with a gluten intolerance to have a reaction to a skincare product since gluten can only be absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract. However, some people do have wheat allergies that may cause them to have skin sensitivities and this also applies to people who have nut and soy allergies. Most of our Bodycare products contain almond, macadamia and other nut oils. The extraction method for these ingredients removes allergy-causing proteins, but we cannot guarantee that all of the residues are removed. Therefore, if you have a gluten intolerance, wheat allergies, nut or soy allergies, we recommend that you patch test first or consult with your medical practitioner before using any of our products and refer to the ingredients list. None of the products in the Maine Beach range contain dairy.
We regularly refresh our Collections to bring new and exciting products to our customers. If you are unable to find a Collection on our website, it may be unavailable in your region or has been discontinued. For further assistance, please contact our customer service team.

Our Fragrance Candles are made from natural, soy wax and have lead-free cotton wicks for a longer, cleaner and more environmentally friendly burn.
Black residue may appear on the inside glass of your Fragrance Candle if the wicks are too long and have not been trimmed between burning. Always ensure the wick is upright and trimmed to 5mm before each burn in order to prevent the Fragrance Candle emitting carbon (the black residue). The black residue can easily be removed with a damp towel or cloth.
Glass cracking can occur when there isn't enough wax left to absorb the flame’s heat or when wicks shift and touch the glass. This often results from burning the Fragrance Candle beyond the recommended time, causing the wax pool to expand and the wicks to become unstable. To prevent this, always stop burning when 10mm of unmelted wax remains and follow the care instructions on the base of each Maine Beach Fragrance Candle. If you burn your Fragrance Candle for less than one hour the wax may not melt all the way to the outside of the candle. This can form a pattern of tunnelling which leaves unmelted wax around the edges which may reduce the overall fragrance throw and eventually could drown the wicks so the Fragrance Candle will not stay alight. If you burn your Fragrance Candle for longer than four hours, the Fragrance Candle wick can become quite long and less stable which can cause it to move towards the glass or heat the glass up.
We ask that you stop burning your Fragrance Candle at the 10mm wax mark as there may not be enough wax left in the Fragrance Candle to absorb the heat of the flame. Without enough wax, the glass will become very hot and can be at risk of cracking.
If your Fragrance Candle is not burning properly, the most common causes are: trimming wicks too short less than 5mm, wicks moving off centre and short burn cycles (under an hour). To get maximum enjoyment out of your candle we recommend that you adhere to the care instructions on the base of each Maine Beach Fragrance Candle. Our Fragrance Diffusers are carefully packaged to ensure the oil from the Fragrance Diffuser does not spill. There are instructions on the back of each diffuser box and are: Remove silver cap and insert reeds into the glass decanter. Allow the reeds to absorb the fragrance for about five minutes, then rotate the reeds upside down to allow them to release their delightful aroma. Rotate the reeds at least twice a week for best result.
Maine Beach Fragrance Candles and Fragrance Diffusers are delicately hand poured into our custom designed glass. To ensure the high quality remains, we do not sell refills. After six to eight months your reeds will need to be replaced and we recommend that you purchase a new Fragrance Diffuser. When your Fragrance Diffuser or Fragrance Candle has reached the end of its useful life, you can remove any remaining liquid or wax and rinse with hot water. The glass jar can then be used for a multitude of purposes in your home. They can also be recycled.
Our Fragrance Diffusers will last, once opened, between three to four months. Environmental factors, such as direct sunlight and breezes, and also the frequency you flip your reeds, may impact the life of your Fragrance Diffuser. For more detailed information, please visit our Care Instructions.
Fragrances may vary between products in the same Collection. This is because some scents work better in certain products, like Candles, while others are better suited to Diffusers. Each fragrance is carefully adjusted to give you the best experience.
In the first week of using your Fragrance Diffuser it is normal for the liquid to drop as your reeds absorb the liquid and the fragrance releases via evaporating in the air. Other factors can also impact the evaporation rate, including how often you flip the reeds, if the diffuser is in any direct sunlight, or near an open window, fan or air conditioning.
